As an Assistant Patient Care Technician, you will work under the guidance of licensed nurses to deliver direct patient care that supports safety, comfort, and recovery.Under the supervision of a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or shift manager, you will assist with vital patient care tasks, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.Adhere to established safety protocols including infection control, safe patient handling, and timely communication of patient condition changes.Perform basic care activities such as monitoring vital signs, glucometer checks, assisting with toileting, feeding, bathing, and mobility.Collaborate closely with nursing staff to meet patient needs promptly and enhance their overall experience.Accurately document all care activities to support clinical decision-making and quality outcomes.Communicate relevant patient information to healthcare team members to improve care coordination.High school diploma or GED is preferred.At least one year of experience in a patient care role is preferred.Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential preferred; if uncertified or with less than one year experience, completion of a Patient Care Assistant training academy is required.American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment; training is provided.This role requires considerable mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, and various movements such as pushing, pulling, and bending.Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases through blood and bodily fluids is expected.
