Quality Control Lab Technician

Borusan Berg Pipe is one of the leading manufacturers of large-diameter steel line pipe in North America. We are a mid-sized manufacturer, with three U. S. locations specializing in pipe production for the oil and gas sector. We are seeking two Quality Control Lab Technicians for our Panama City, Florida location. Job Type: Full-timeLocation: Panama City, FloridaPrimary Duties:Selecting and conducting quality tests on manufactured steel pipe in accordance with the current edition of API 5L, API 1104, API Q1, ASMG, NACE, ASTM, CSA, AWWA and additional customer specifications.Receiving, preparing, and machining test coupons utilizing a variety of machines including, but not limited to robotic plasma cutters, band saws, CNC milling machines, and belt sanders.Performing quality tests including, but not limited to bend tests, etching tests, hardness tests, drop weight tear tests, charpy tests and tensile tests.Recording data in the manufacturing execution system and ensuring test samples adhere to specification requirements.Coordinating test results with outside inspectors and/or customer representatives, as applicable.Performing area housekeeping tasks and other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.Compensation:$25.04 hourly, up to $27.32 hourly once fully trainedWeekly and quarterly incentive bonusesShift differential for evening and overnight shift workPremium pay for time worked on Sundays and holidaysParticipation in company's profit-sharing programAnnual boot and safety prescription eyewear allowanceWhat Borusan Berg Pipe Offers:Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, & vision insurance with option for no cost, company-paid health and dental insuranceCompany-paid life and disability insurancePaid vacation leave compensated at 1.1 times the hourly pay ratePaid sick leaveEleven (11) paid holidaysComprehensive 401(K) retirement program including company match of dollar-for-dollar up to 5% of payOther benefits including company-paid training & certification, tuition reimbursement, wellness program incentives, employee recognition bonuses, IDEA program bonuses, and more.Education & Work Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (Required)Ability to obtain a passing score on an intermediate level math assessment.
