ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING TEAM SUPERVISOR

Electrical Engineering Team SupervisorWe are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Supervisor to lead an engineering team in designing and developing sub-transmission systems, substations, switching stations, and complex power distribution systems for commercial and industrial clients.Responsibilities:Design sub-transmission systems, substations, switching stations, and power distribution systems.Lead an engineering team in developing specifications, calculations, design drawings, and bills of materials.Ensure project deliverables meet customer standards and industry codes.Develop design alternatives, perform engineering calculations, and create estimates.Act as the Owner's Engineer during project execution, addressing RFIs.Provide technical input for cost estimates and schedules.Serve as the main point of contact for customers.Conduct site surveys and participate in pre-construction job-walks.Maintain knowledge of power system modeling and protection schemes.Mentor junior engineers.Essential Skills:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (power systems emphasis preferred)PE License required8+ years of experience in the electric utility industryLeadership capabilities and ability to motivate and guide a teamExpert knowledge of medium voltage electrical substations and distribution systemsExpertise in power system analysis, distribution system modeling, and protective device coordinationExperience with drawings, specifications, and technical documentationAbility to prepare and maintain construction project schedulesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdditional Skills & Qualifications:High voltage and medium voltage experienceArc flash studiesOne line and three line diagramsExperience with distribution, transmission line, and substation projectsWork Environment:Team of 35 engineers, typically split into teams of 10Up to 25% travel to client sites outside ColoradoOffice work on Tuesdays and WednesdaysWhy You Should Be Interested:Support Federal Government and local municipalitiesExtremely stable: 50-year contractsHybrid schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday in officeAll travel is paidPerform cradle-to-grave on all projectsShort Term Incentive Program (STIP)Bi-weekly payPTO accrual basisExcellent benefits package including health, dental, life insurance, 401(k), profit sharing, Paid Time Off, and holidaysPay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $138000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
