Construction Manager - OSP Fiber Optic Networks

Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated OSP Construction Manager to oversee the installation of fiber optic networks across various locations. The ideal candidate will manage the entire construction process, from planning and coordination to execution, ensuring all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards. You should possess a strong background in fiber optic network design and construction, along with excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage the full lifecycle of OSP fiber optic construction projects.Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop relationships with cities, counties, HOAs, and local utilities, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, schedule, and budget.Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, and train construction inspectors and coordinators, leading the construction team with clear expectations and accountability.Quality Assurance: Conduct site visits, inspections, audits, and tests to verify project quality and safety, ensuring compliance with company policies and local/state/federal regulations.Problem Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle, providing technical guidance and support to construction staff.Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, records, and invoices, ensuring effective payroll processing and timecard approvals.Process Improvement: Evaluate and implement new technologies, methods, and best practices to enhance OSP construction efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years' experience in OSP fiber optic construction.Strong knowledge of fiber optic network testing equipment and procedures.Familiarity with OSP construction standards, codes, regulations, and safety practices.Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to travel frequently to various project sites.Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
