Deep Learning Engineer

As a deep learning engineer at Stout, you will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning models that power our autonomous robots. You will work on a variety of tasks, including machine vision pipeline management, training, and labeling. You will also collaborate with other engineers and scientists to develop new machine learning algorithms and improve the performance of our robots. About the role Design, develop, and maintain software systems for data collection, tagging, training, testing, deployment and operation of computer vision based software Integrate models within our robotics software stack Configure cloud computing resources to support computational and data storage needs Support deployed production systems by implementing performance improvements and new functionality Follow best practices for software development including test automation, bug tracking, code reviews, post-deployment support, and updates Write unit and integration tests Troubleshoot and debug software Maintain clear documentation Design metrics for automatic validation and verification of model improvement Knowledge, skills, and abilities for success B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, M.S. preferred 5+ years of relevant work experience using C/C++ and Python Experience with real-time Linux systems Experience with machine learning workflows Experience with version control systems, continuous integration, and automated testing Working knowledge of optical systems, including cameras, sensors, lenses, filters, and lighting Working knowledge of controls engineering (e.g. motion control & motors, PLCs, machine sensors, etc.) Direct experience in agriculture or mobile industrial equipment industry (construction, mining, heavy automotive industry) Job Type: Full-time Pay: $93,147.81 - $121,178.01 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Schedule: Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Salinas, CA 93908: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Application Question(s): Do you have an interest in the agricultural industry?
