Experienced Welder 2nd shift
Description:GSM Industrial, a regional leader since 1983 in industrial fabrication, installation and mechanical contracting, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Welder to join our team on 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in various welding techniques, including FCAW (Flux Core), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG), and be proficient in welding carbon steel and stainless steel in all positions (1G-5G)Requirements:Key Skills & Qualifications:Advanced Welding ProficiencySkilled in FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes, with extensive experience working on carbon steel and stainless steelAll Position WeldingAbility to weld in 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G positions with precision and consistency.Code-Quality WeldingProven experience in full penetration welding, back purge welding, and producing welds that pass RT (Radiographic Testing), UT (Ultrasonic Testing), and hydrostatic testsPolished Stainless Steel WeldingExperience working with polished stainless steel under stringent visual inspection requirements is a plus.Blueprint Reading & Fit-UpStrong ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, perform precise fit-up, and execute complex assemblies with minimal supervision.Rigging & Crane OperationHands-on experience with rigging and complex crane operations to handle large and intricate welding projects safely and efficiently.Safety & Quality ComplianceCommitment to following industry safety standards, quality control protocols, and best practices for welding and fabrication.Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience in an industrial, structural, or pressure vessel welding environmentCertification(s) in relevant welding disciplines (AWS, ASME, etc.) is highly desirable.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.If you are a highly skilled welder with a proven track record in precision welding, complex fabrications, and quality-driven work, we encourage you to apply and join our team!At GSM we care about our employees.
