Job DescriptionNEW Medical Technologist – Full Time NightsLocation: Lansing, MI AreaSchedule: Nights (9:00 PM start) 7 on 7 off, 10 hour shiftsJob Summary: Performs chemical, hematologic, serologic, immunohematologic, microscopic, and microbiologic testing to support diagnosis and treatment. Responsible for specimen processing, high-complexity testing, and timely, accurate results in a patient-centered environment.Key Responsibilities:Perform Hematology and Chemistry testingOperate and maintain lab instrumentationComplete STAT testing within required timeframesEnsure quality control and result accuracyPerform preventive maintenance and troubleshootingUse LIS to order and report testsTrain students/new staff as neededFollow safety, privacy, and hospital policiesWork independently on assigned shiftsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related science (required)Experience:Laboratory internship preferredMust meet CLIA '88 requirements for high-complexity testingCertifications:ASCP, ASMT, HEW (HHS), or equivalent certification/eligibility preferredInterested!?
