Job Title: Logistics CoordinatorJob DescriptionThe Logistics Coordinator supports the full lifecycle of sales shipments and orders, with a focus on food and meat products. This role coordinates closely with sales representatives, vendors, and government agencies such as customs to ensure products ship and arrive accurately and on time. The Logistics Coordinator manages and tracks shipment information in internal systems and Oracle, maintaining precise client and shipment records for international shipments that must comply with various country-specific regulations. The role also involves handling original documents, compiling them for international tracking, and providing reliable administrative and customer service support throughout the logistics process.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate multiple steps of sales shipments and orders for food and meat products from initiation through delivery.Work closely with sales representatives, vendors, and government departments such as customs to ensure shipments are processed, shipped, and received correctly.Use internal systems and Oracle to enter, track, and update shipment and client information accurately and in a timely manner.Maintain detailed and accurate records for international shipments, ensuring compliance with regulations and requirements in various countries.Receive, organize, and compile original documents needed for international tracking and shipment verification.Perform administrative support tasks, including data entry, filing, and clerical duties related to logistics and shipment documentation.Use Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel, to manage communications, schedules, and shipment documentation.Provide responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders regarding shipment status, documentation, and logistics issues.Assist with inventory and transportation-related tasks as needed to support the overall logistics workflow.Prioritize and juggle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Identify and resolve issues using problem-solving and critical thinking skills to keep shipments on track.Participate in working interviews to demonstrate skills and experience as part of the hiring process.Essential Skills2–3 years of experience in a consistent role in a related field such as logistics, importing, exporting, or shipping; or 1 year removed from college with a related degree (Business, Operations, Analytics, etc.).Experience with importing and exporting products, demonstrating an understanding of shipping and logistics beyond basic label printing and courier handoff.Strong administrative support and clerical experience, including data entry and filing.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel.Ability to use Oracle or similar enterprise systems to track and manage shipment and client information.High attention to detail and accuracy when handling shipment data and documentation.Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address logistics issues and ensure timely deliveries.Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Effective customer service skills to support internal teams and external partners.Comfort working with inventory and transportation-related processes.Additional Skills & QualificationsInternational shipping experience is not required but is a strong plus.Bachelor’s degree or related degree in Business, Operations, Analytics, or a similar field is preferred, especially for candidates with 1 year of post-college experience.Experience working with customs or other government departments involved in international logistics is beneficial.Familiarity with predictive assessments such as the PI Assessment is advantageous.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.Comfort working in a fast-paced environment handling detailed and time-sensitive information.Work EnvironmentThis position is fully onsite in a downtown office environment, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Logistics Coordinator works closely with a team lead and 2–3 other team members in a collaborative setting. The role relies on internal systems, Oracle, and the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel, to manage daily tasks and communication. The organization offers working interviews, allowing candidates to directly showcase their experience.
