The DTR works under the supervision of a Registered Dietitian to support nutrition care services and promote the health and wellbeing of our residents.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct nutrition screenings and assist with nutritional assessmentsSupport development and implementation of individualized nutrition care plansMonitor and document resident progress and dietary needsProvide nutrition education to residents and familiesCollaborate with dietitians, physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionalsAssist with compliance of dietary services and food safety standardsSupport nutrition documentation within the electronic medical record systemParticipate in quality improvement and resident care planningQualificationsCompletion of an accredited Dietetic Technician programActive Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)Experience in long-term care or healthcare nutrition preferredKnowledge of medical nutrition therapy and dietary guidelinesExperience with electronic health records or nutrition software preferredStrong communication, organization, and teamwork skillsThis is a great opportunity for a DTR looking to grow their career in a supportive long-term care environment while making a meaningful impact on resident health.?
