The purpose of this position is to lead all activities related to developing mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers in order to obtain the highest value in quality products and services.ResponsibilitiesRequest quotesSelect suppliersIssue purchase ordersAssess supplier performance Liaise with plants on supplier issues Maintain purchasing recordsAnalyze purchasing dataAssist in contract negotiations Develop and implement a commodity cost saving strategyIdentify opportunities for training or growth in the procurement fieldQualificationsThis position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4 to 6 years of related experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree and 6 to 8 years of related experience.Work LocationThis position is based in the Ann Arbor office with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).During the onboarding period, additional in-office days will be required to support training and integration.
