Facilities Operations Specialist

Monday – Friday7 am – 4 pmSaturdays – 6 am to 12 pm or 7 am to 1 pm (flexibility)Hourly Rate Range: $40-$43 an hour plus 4% bonusPosition SummaryMaintain site manufacturing facilities and operations to ensure safety and operational excellence by coordinating preventative maintenance (PM) programs and supporting utilities, site and infrastructure services. This role focuses on day-to-day facilities coordination, vendor/third party management, and ensuring a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilities Operations & MaintenanceMaintain plant and facility conditions to ensure safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiencyOversee day to day upkeep, organization and condition of manufacturing buildings, external warehouses, grounds and supporting infrastructure to ensure clean and safe facilities.Implement and coordinate corrective and preventative maintenance (PM) plans to support all facilities, grounds, and major systemsConduct regular inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment to ensure high standards of safety and cleanliness are maintainedProactively monitor facility conditions and identify any maintenance reliability or infrastructure risks.Make minor repairs and coordinate larger repair efforts with external/third party vendorsSupervise and participate in general cleaning, maintenance, and repair of facilities, vehicles, and equipmentProject & Vendor CoordinationOversee facility-related projects and coordinate third-party vendors as neededServe as liaison between facility leadership and subcontractors providing maintenance and repair servicesSchedule and oversee vendor work, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectivenessSafety, Compliance & Environmental SupportEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and company policiesEnsure custodial and maintenance activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding handling and disposal of waste and hazardous materialsCollaborate with EHS to address safety concerns, corrective actions, and ongoing compliance requirementsGrounds & Site ServicesCoordinate and participate in seasonal groundskeeping activities, including landscaping, lawn maintenance, and snow/ice removalSupport facility services such as waste management, utilities, and general site upkeepAssist in managing fleet vehicles and equipment, including scheduling maintenance and inspectionsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required (technical or trade certification preferred)5+ years of experience in facilities coordination, maintenance, or a related roleWorking knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and facility operationsExperience coordinating third party vendors, contractors, and maintenance activitiesFamiliarity with safety regulations and environmental compliance standardsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentBilingual English and Spanish a plus
