Data Scientist/ML - Engineer

Job Description: Position: Data Scientist/MLE - EngineerLocation: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)Hire Type: ContractRole & Responsibilities:Bachelors or higher degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related fieldHands-on experience in building and deploying ML models including Classical ML and NLPIn-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, software architecture, libraries and frameworks to create ML models that accomplishes outlined goalsRigorous knowledge of Python programming to develop software. Java is a plus.Creative thinking and problem solving skills to come up with new solutions and approachesSkillful in developing and maintaining detailed, easy-to-read documentation including data dictionaries, model documentation, and code documentationExperience in integrating ML into existing applications in batch and realtimeEffective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate within and outside the teamHands-on experience on writing and understanding complex SQL and optimizing data pipelines. Experience with NoSQL is a plusExperience in Big Data ecosystem including Map-Reduce, Hive, Spark (core, SQL and pyspark) is a plus. Knowledge of basic UNIX commands is necessary.Experience with GitHub and leveraging CI/CD pipelinesExperience in taking models through AI/ML governance in highly regulated industry is a plus
