Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Effingham, IL Agency: Jackson HealthPros Pay: $1,845 to $2,045 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position We’re hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you’ll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor’s degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Active Illinois Respiratory Care License in good standing. (Candidate must be outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered.) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with active NBRC certification. Minimum 2 years RRT experience, including adult critical care experience. Experience in Emergency Department care. Neonatal and pediatric experience required. Cerner EMR experience required. Experience with all patient populations across acuity levels. Active American Heart Association certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS. Active NRP certification. Work history and skills checklist current to within 1 year, pertinent to the RRT specialty (required). Two supervisory reference forms completed with dates employed listed (required). Ability to perform responsibilities including evaluation, therapeutic procedures for ventilation and airway management, equipment selection and troubleshooting, emergency interventions, patient education, and participation in respiratory care plan development. Preferred: Experience providing in-service education and serving as a resource for complicated respiratory care cases. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Primary specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Shift name: Nights. Shift pattern: 5x12. Shift hours: 1800–0630. Weekend requirement: Rotating weekends. Guarantee: 36 hour guarantee. Will consider a 48 hour guarantee with overtime starting after 48 hours. Duration: 13-week travel assignment. Floating: Candidate may be required to float to other facilities as needed.
