DescriptionAs a Construction Leader at Amazon, you will be responsible for leading a team of construction project managers to oversee the successful delivery of complex construction projects. You will manage multiple construction initiatives concurrently, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, partnering with external contractors and suppliers, and driving innovation to continuously improve construction processes.Key job responsibilitiesLead a team of construction project managers to plan, schedule, and execute multiple complex construction projectsOversee the work of construction contractors, subcontractors, and other external partners to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budgetProactively identify and mitigate project risks, implementing effective risk management strategiesOptimize construction processes and methodologies to improve efficiency, safety, and cost-effectivenessDevelop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including internal business partners, customers, and regulatory authoritiesProvide technical expertise and guidance to the project management team, ensuring design and engineering requirements are metMonitor project performance and provide regular progress updates to senior managementParticipate in the selection and management of construction vendors and service providersContribute to the development and implementation of construction-related policies, procedures, and best practicesMentor and develop the construction project management team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvementBasic Qualifications Experience developing solutions and executing plans on complex projects 11+ years of direct management, mentorship, leadership, and coaching of construction management or commissioning professionals experience Knowledge of project management tools Experience in managing and troublshooting network, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalentPreferred Qualifications Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certificationAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
