Registered Nurse, Inpatient Orthopedic/General Surgery Unit

Key Responsibilities:Providing competent care for pediatric surgical patients on a 22 bed inpatient unit, with patient ratios of 1:3-4. Surgical specialties include orthopedics, general surgery, trauma, ORL, and plastic surgery.Working collaboratively to provide family-centered care as a member of a multidisciplinary team that delivers expert care.Attending to the full range of human experiences and responses to health and illness without restriction to a problem-focus orientation.Providing a caring relationship that facilitates health and healing.Working 36 hours per week, rotating days/nights and every third weekend.Minimum QualificationsEducation:BSN requiredExperience:A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.A minimum of 1 year of inpatient acute RN experience; 2 years strongly preferred.Pediatric or surgical experience strongly preferred.Licensure/ Certifications:* Massachusetts RN LicensureThe posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
