Python Application DeveloperGenesis10 is currently seeking a Python Application Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.This role is responsible for the analysis and development of applications on a proprietary trading platform. The candidate will build and support the remote risk stack for various asset classes and also work on building analytics and pricing components for a hedge accounting platform. The role involves participating in the design and development of applications while working with multiple teams across the institution.Responsibilities:Analyze and develop applications on a proprietary trading platformBuild out and support a remote risk stack for various asset classesDevelop analytics and pricing components for a FAS133 hedge accounting platformDrive and participate in the design and development of applicationsWork with multiple teams across the institutionRequirements:Advanced knowledge of Python and SQLExtensive experience using design and architectural patternsDesign and development experience in modern technologies such as API management, REST/API integration, Containers, and MicroservicesExperience in Web UI (Angular, Spring) and CI/CD toolsKnowledge of various financial instruments including Bonds, Interest rate swaps, Repo and FX productsUnderstanding of risk and P/L generation for the above instrumentsPrior Capital Markets experienceCreative, quick-thinking, and an aptitude for solving problems with technologyAbility to work both independently and within a high-functioning team environmentDesired Skills:Knowledge of key proprietary trading platform componentsExperience working on a proprietary remote risk framework and calculatorsPay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
