A&P Lead Mechanic - AIS Program, Crestview, FL

Major Job Activities Key Responsibilities % of Time Spent Supervise A&P mechanics and technicians during scheduled and unscheduled maintenance Assign work, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met Perform, inspect, approve maintenance, repairs, and alterations in accordance with FAA regulations Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance to team members Ensure accurate completion of maintenance records, logbooks, and work orders Operate support equipment required during maintenance action. Maintain compliance with FAA, company, and safety policies Coordinate with management, QA, and parts departments as needed Promote a safe, organized, and professional work environment Leads aircraft deliveries to ensure on-time departure Coordinate with site management and other departments to minimize aircraft downtime. Serve as the primary maintenance point of contact, communicating aircraft status. Any other assigned duties as directed 20 15 10 10 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 Material & Equipment Directly Used Operate support equipment Ground Power Units, Air Start Units, Hydraulic Power Units, Air Conditioning Units and Tugs and Tractors. Basic computer software and hardware experience including competency with MS Office. Working Environment Will vary significantly based on aircraft scheduling, will work Line Maintenance and Hangar Maintenance. Work may be performed during hot/cold outdoor weather and possibly during inclement weather. Physical Activities Must be able to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods. Must be able to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights. Must be able to work with one or both hands extended overhead. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Qualifications Education / Certifications: High School diploma/GED FAA Airframe & Power plant (A&P) Certification (Must have within 60 days of start date) Strong knowledge of FAA regulations (FARs), AD's, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals Minimum 8 years' experience in aircraft maintenance, preferably with an MRO company and/or FAA Repair Station. Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical data Excellent troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently and make sound maintenance decisions Prior lead, supervisory, or crew chief experience preferred Must have the ability to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and flexible hours as required. Must be Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data. Must be able to abide by DOT/FAA regulations able to pass background check and drug screening High School diploma/GED Experience Experience with King Air/Cessna Caravan Experience with C-130, TH-57, TH-73 aircraft Aircraft modification and/or overhaul experience preferred Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus Garmin systems experience Experience in a fast-paced or maintenance/modification environment LI-ES1
