IS Project Manager – Legal & Integration (Carve-Out) | CaseIQ, Luminance, IPMS ImplementationLocation- This is a remote role anywhere from Romania or Bulgaria/ or Anywhere from EU.Role Overview: This IS Project Manager role leads end-to-end technology implementation, separation, and integration for three core legal technology platforms- CaseIQ (case management), Luminance (AI-powered legal document review/analytics), and IPMS (Intellectual Property Management System)—as part of a corporate carve-out, divestiture, or business unit separation initiative. The role owns project delivery, cross-functional stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, compliance, and seamless system transition between legacy and target operating environments, ensuring legal data integrity, regulatory adherence, and business continuity throughout the carve-out lifecycle.Core Job Responsibilities1. Project Strategy, Planning & Carve-Out Scope DefinitionLead full-cycle project management for the implementation, separation, data migration, configuration, and integration of CaseIQ, Luminance, and IPMS within a formal corporate carve-out program; define clear project charters, scope statements, milestones, timelines, and budget frameworks aligned with overall divestiture/integration goals.Conduct detailed discovery and requirements-gathering with legal, compliance, IT, finance, and executive stakeholders to map carve-out-specific needs, including data segmentation, user access separation, system licensing restructuring, and compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) and corporate legal policies.Develop detailed work breakdown structures (WBS), resource plans, and critical path schedules; coordinate with external legal tech vendors (CaseIQ, Luminance, IPMS providers), implementation partners, and internal IT teams to align delivery timelines with carve-out separation deadlines and Day One readiness targets.2. System Implementation & Technical Delivery for Legal PlatformsOversee hands-on configuration, testing, data migration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for CaseIQ (case management, compliance tracking, workflow automation), Luminance (AI document review, contract analytics, data extraction), and IPMS (IP portfolio tracking, patent/trademark management, renewal workflows) tailored to the carved-out entity’s operating model.Manage end-to-end data separation and migration for legal records, case files, contract data, and intellectual property assets; validate data accuracy, completeness, and security to eliminate cross-contamination between parent and carved-out entities, with full audit trail documentation for legal and compliance review.Coordinate system integration with adjacent enterprise tools (e.g., email, document management, finance systems) to ensure seamless legal workflow continuity post-carve-out; resolve technical gaps, integration errors, and vendor-specific configuration issues to keep projects on track.3. Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional GovernanceServe as the primary point of contact for all legal tech carve-out workstreams; liaise daily with legal counsel, compliance teams, IT infrastructure, finance, executive leadership, and third-party vendors to align priorities, resolve escalations, and communicate progress transparently.Facilitate regular project status meetings, steering committee updates, and risk reviews; deliver clear, concise progress reports, milestone tracking, and variance analysis to senior leadership, highlighting risks, delays, and mitigation plans for executive decision-making.Manage user training, change management, and adoption support for legal and compliance teams transitioning to the separated/implemented CaseIQ, Luminance, and IPMS platforms; develop training materials and post-go-live support protocols to minimize business disruption.4. Risk, Compliance & Quality AssuranceIdentify, assess, and mitigate carve-out-specific project risks, including legal data breach risks, licensing non-compliance, migration failures, timeline delays, and stakeholder misalignment; implement proactive risk controls and contingency plans for high-impact scenarios.Ensure full compliance with internal IT policies, legal data governance standards, industry regulations, and carve-out separation agreements; conduct regular quality assurance checks to verify system functionality, data security, and adherence to legal department requirements.Oversee project budget tracking, cost control, and vendor invoice validation; manage resource allocation and avoid scope creep to deliver all legal tech workstreams on budget and within approved financial parameters.5. Post-Implementation Support & ClosureLead post-go-live stabilization, issue resolution, and performance monitoring for CaseIQ, Luminance, and IPMS; conduct project retrospectives to document lessons learned and refine carve-out legal tech implementation processes for future initiatives.Ensure complete project documentation, handover to ongoing support teams, and formal project closure in line with corporate PMO standards; archive all carve-out-related project artifacts, audit logs, and compliance documentation for legal and regulatory retention.Required Qualifications & SkillsMandatory (Minimum Requirements)Professional Experience: 5+ years of progressive IS/IT project management experience, with 2+ years of direct experience leading legal technology implementation or carve-out/divestiture projects; proven track record delivering complex enterprise software projects on time and within budget.Legal Tech Expertise: Hands-on functional or implementation experience with CaseIQ, Luminance, and IPMS (or comparable intellectual property/legal case management platforms); deep understanding of legal department workflows, case management, contract analytics, and IP portfolio management processes.Carve-Out/Integration Knowledge: Demonstrated experience with corporate carve-out, separation, or divestiture initiatives, including data segmentation, system separation, licensing restructuring, and Day One operational readiness for legal and compliance systems.Project Management Credentials: PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, or equivalent project management certification; proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet, Planview, or similar PMO platforms).Technical & Compliance Acumen: Working knowledge of data migration, system integration, user access management, and data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, or relevant regional laws) as they apply to legal and confidential corporate data.Stakeholder Management: Exceptional cross-functional communication, negotiation, and escalation skills; ability to partner effectively with legal counsel, compliance, executive leadership, and external vendors in a fast-paced, deadline-driven carve-out environment.Preferred (Desired Qualifications)3+ years of dedicated legal tech project management experience, specifically supporting corporate legal departments, compliance teams, or IP teams.Direct experience with legal data migration, audit trail management, and system separation in M&A, carve-out, or spin-off environments.Familiarity with legal vendor management, software licensing negotiation, and contract management for enterprise legal technology platforms.Experience leading change management and user adoption for legal system implementations, including training development and stakeholder engagement.Understanding of enterprise IT governance, cybersecurity controls for confidential legal data, and compliance with legal records retention policies.Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or legal tech certification a plus.Core CompetenciesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with extreme attention to detail for legal and compliance-critical deliverables.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, tight deadlines, and evolving scope in a dynamic carve-out program environment.Proactive risk management mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions to keep projects aligned with carve-out strategic goals.Commitment to data security, confidentiality, and ethical handling of sensitive legal, contract, and intellectual property information.Thanks,Anuwar HussainLead RecruiterInfoplus Technologies UK Ltd.Email: anuwar.s@infoplusltd.com
