We partner with clients to deliver safe, quality mechanical installations across a wide range of job-site environments.Position SummaryThe Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Braconier’s Health & Safety (EHS) programs across plumbing and mechanical construction work. This role ensures compliance with applicable safety regulations, drives incident prevention, and promotes a proactive safety culture on active job sites and among employees and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of safety leadership experience in the mechanical construction industry and understands jobsite hazards associated with plumbing, heating, and mechanical trade work.Key Responsibilities Lead and manage Braconier’s EHS program for plumbing and mechanical construction projects, including existing facility (retrofit) work and ground-up projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable federal/state requirements, as well as company safety standards and project requirements. Visit job sites and provide hands-on leadership through:Safety walkthroughs/inspections and documented observationsPre-task planning support (job hazard analysis / safety planning)Coaching and corrective action to drive sustained improvements Lead incident/near-miss response:Oversee investigations and root-cause analysisDevelop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Track closure and effectiveness Support safe work execution for common field activities, including (as applicable):Working at heights / fall protectionLadders and scaffolding safetyHot work and cutting/grinding/weldingConfined space awareness/ entry coordination (if applicable)Electrical hazards awareness (including energized work precautions when relevant)Rigging and material handlingTrenching/excavation coordination (if applicable)Lockout/Tagout coordination and permit processes (as applicable) Perform safety orientation and training for new employees, current employees, contractors, subcontractors, and ensuring up to date required competency and documentation. Manage safety communications and documentation, including safety meeting cadence, audit reports, training records, and program updates. Review and support critical pre-job documentation (e.g., JHAs, THA’s, permits, lift plans, hot work permits, plans for specialty work). Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and Estimators to integrate safety into job planning and execution (sequencing, manpower planning, and risk controls). Maintain safety metrics and reporting, and present performance trends to leadership. Coordinate with customers, building owners, and general contractors to meet site-specific safety requirements.Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. OHSA 30 5–10 years of progressive safety/ EHS experience in a commercial/ industrial construction environment, with demonstrated understanding of the mechanical construction industry. Strong knowledge of OSHA safety expectations and practical application on construction sites. Proven experience conducting investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action follow-through. Demonstrated ability to lead in the field: coaching, influencing behavior, and driving accountability. Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to travel to job sites throughout the Denver/Colorado area as needed and to work in active construction environments. Must be a United States Citizen. Must be able to pass a drug test. Must be able to pass federal background check.Preferred Qualifications Relevant safety credentials/designations (e.g., OSHA Authorized Trainer, CHST/CSP/STSC, or equivalent—where applicable). Experience working on multi-trade and existing facility job sites (occupied buildings, live systems, complex access conditions). Familiarity with safety management system frameworks.Work Environment Job sites may include active construction areas, lifting operations, variable weather conditions, and loud/ noisy environments.
