SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking a Project Engineer to oversee the review, analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. This position offers opportunities at both levels 1 and 2, allowing candidates to apply based on their experience and qualifications. Compensation for this role is determined based on factors such as experience and location. Accepted locations: Cedar Rapids, IA; Omaha, NE; Lincoln, NE. RESPONSIBILITIES Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft personsImplement pre-construction quality plan and manage construction permitsDevelop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, Non-Conformance ReportManage, create, and distribute contract documents, including RFIs and correspondenceOversee testing and inspection processes, implementing a three-phase inspection systemManage submittals, ensuring timely processing and alignment with project scheduleCoordinate subcontractor details, including insurance verification and final payment requestsDevelop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders, updating as-built construction documentsBuild relationships across diverse backgrounds and organizational levelsLead team members by example, providing coaching, feedback, and performance managementQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experienceCurrent driver’s licenseDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project tasksBasic understanding of construction law and business practicesStrong teamwork, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, project, and relevant web applicationsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesActive listening and effective communication skills, open to diverse input and feedbackProject Engineer 1: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of related experienceThe base pay range for this roleis $84,100 Min - $113,500 MaxProject Engineer 2 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Three years of related experienceThe base pay range for this roleis $93,400 Min - $126,100 Max(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
