Transfer Center Technician

Find your purpose as a Technician in our newly established Transfer Center! This role will serve as a technical expert for the transfer center systems and workflows. Each year, more than 21,000 patients move into, out of, or within CentraCare facilities. Many of those patients are critically ill, with time sensitive diagnoses or complex needs. CentraCare's Transfer Center gives clinicians a comprehensive resource for managing their patient’s movement and ensure each patient receives the best possible care throughout the process. The Technician will ensure timely responsiveness and operational effectiveness of the Transfer Center serving as a liaison between Information Services and the Transfer Center team to support multiple systems. Job Responsibilities: Maintains knowledge and expertise of Transfer Center operating systems and workflows. Participates in the collection of data in order to provide reports to leadership to support quality improvement for the Transfer Center. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to assess, standardize and continually improve technology systems and programs. Facilitates projects related to software systems to ensure the implementation of continuous quality control of process and deliverables. Optimizes workflows and technology to support the Transfer Center and consumer access. Participates in multiple aspects of technology development and implementation in collaboration with IS&T. Qualifications: Four-year degree in a related field Equivalent experience in a Transfer Center in lieu of education. 2 years of experience in communications and system programming and scripting and/or healthcare required. 2 years of experience in telecommunications operations required. 2 years of experience with call centers required. Strong knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office and Epic. Knowledge of Amtelco computer systems preferred Basic programming of call flows and scripting preferred.
