Job Description:Map My Pay is hiring a Full Stack Developer to help us build and maintain both our web application and mobile apps (iOS/Android). Our platform helps nurses compare salaries, cost of living, and job opportunities across the U.S.We’ve already launched mobile apps with the help of an agency, but now we’re bringing development fully in-house. You’ll be joining a small team led by our senior software developer/project manager, working alongside other developers. This role requires someone who is strong in React.js, React Native, and Node.js and can contribute immediately to both mobile and web features.ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain front-end features in React.js (web) and React Native (mobile).Develop and optimize backend APIs using Node.js and Express.Write and optimize MySQL queries, indexes, and schema updates.Deploy and maintain services on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).Participate in live, screen-shared coding sessions and code reviews.Help push builds to App Store Connect and Google Play Console.Collaborate in Slack/Jira/GitHub, provide short daily/weekly updates.Must-Have QualificationsStrong skills in React.js, React Native, and Node.js (self-rated 7+/10).Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.Hands-on MySQL experience (queries, indexes, optimization).Practical AWS deployment knowledge (EC2, RDS, S3).Prior contribution to at least one production app (web or mobile).Willingness to complete a live, screen-shared coding test (no AI tools).Availability up to 40 hrs/week, within $275–$400/week USD.Preferred QualificationsPublished apps or updates to the Apple App Store or Google Play Console.Familiarity with Next.js for server-side rendering and routing.Experience with Redux or other state management libraries.Knowledge of TypeScript.Startup or small-team development experience.Compensation & Schedule$275–$400/week (USD) depending on experience.Up to 40 hours per week (workload may vary by sprint).Remote, flexible hours, but prefer 2–4 hours overlap with Pacific Time.
