ODS is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA and also has offices/plants in Texas and North Carolina centrally located to serve clients across the country.SummaryThe Production Lead is responsible for providing leadership and guidance within production regarding scheduling, staffing, quality and training.Compensation$24 HourlyDuties And ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and oversee day-to-day operations within the assigned shift as directed by management teamDirect the activities of employees to ensure accurate communications and seamless operations within the company to ensure the team is following all processes and procedures, and priorities are completed in a timely mannerMeet quality and productivity levels by leading employees to meet customer requirements, quality and deadlinesUnderstand the production workflowAssess workload and determine if extra resources are neededDistribute workload based on knowledge of personnelCorrectly read and understand information on job ticket to determine specifications to be performed on the job, and prioritize job tickets by due dateEnsure all components of jobs are available and locatedEnsure all sign-offs are completed and shift reports completedCommunicate to other shift leads during changeoverTrain on PHI recyclingUnderstand SLA requirements and deadlinesDevelop and implement continuous improvement initiatives Assist in the training of helpers and new or existing employees with operations and machineryAchieve a high level of employee efficiency and morale through leadership, positive influence, professional demeanor, and the use of sound management and human relations principlesProvide assistance to operators while reviewing individual job requirements, securing material and setting up the machine efficientlyEnsure safe working conditions and enforce all safety policies and proceduresConduct visual checks of machinery and escalate any problems to leadership and/or maintenance Maintain a clean and organized work placePerform other duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsHigh school graduate, or completion of GED requiredMinimum three years of related manufacturing print experienceSupervisory experience a plus Basic matching, printing and assembly skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environmentMust possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail, along with effective time management abilities Must also be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Must be able to read, write and communicate in English Strong mathematical skills Computer literacy with the ability to work with various file structures, fulfillment tasks, reports and information lookupMust be able to work overtimePerform all work and activities with honesty and integrityTake personal responsibility for productivity, quality and timeliness of workEffectively communicate (and listen) clearly, professionally, politely and persuasively in all situations; respond well and in a reasonable, timely mannerChallenge conventional practices and use creativity and information to lead, innovate, problem solve, and implement ideas to contribute to the growth of the organizationSupport and meet company/department goals and core valuesCollaborate with co-workers to achieve common goalsWorking ConditionsMust be able to perform the essential job duties.
