The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success.Position SummaryThe CNC Machinist will independently and safely set up and operate 3, 4, and 5 axis equipment.Essential FunctionsRead and understand process travelers, setup journals, tooling sheets and operation sheets to produce complex finished product.Make tooling adjustments and program offsets as necessary.Ability to accurately inspect work utilizing various instruments, including OD & ID indicating gaging, indicators, micrometers, height stands and verniers.Perform daily TPM responsibilities.Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area. Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations. Wear necessary personal protective equipment as required.Actively participate in cross-training, cost savings and team activities to improve processes.Maintain appropriate tact and diplomacy in dealings with co-workers, team members and supervisors.CompetenciesTechnical capacityProblem-solving / analysisInitiativeResults-drivenExperience and EducationMinimum of 3 years of aerospace CNC machining experience is required.High school diploma or equivalent required.Degree/certificate from vocation school or college program is a plus, but relevant experience may substitute for education.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
