Business Trial Mid-Level Associate (Healthcare Litigation) (New York)Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP, a global Am Law 50 firm, is seeking a mid-level Business Trial Associate Attorney to join our New York office.Please note: This role is not currently open to search firm submissions. With 230+ attorneys in 16 offices, our team serves all sectors of the healthcare industry, from hospitals and large provider systems to health plans, to digital health and AI solutions providers, to the institutional and private equity investors who support them.The Healthcare Litigation Industry Team represents healthcare and life sciences clients in complex commercial litigation and government investigations throughout the country. Our healthcare litigation team protects the interests of our clients in commercial litigation and civil disputes, internal investigations, enforcement actions, and rulemaking challenges. The business needs of our clients and the healthcare regulatory environment shape all aspects of our dispute management strategy, from possible out-of-court resolution of disputes all the way through trial.The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Qualifications3-5 years of litigation experience requiredComplex civil litigation experience, including representing healthcare and life sciences entities in commercial litigation and arbitration, as well as experience with the False Claims Act and similar anti-fraud statues is a plusStrong academic background from a top-tier law schoolComparable law firm experienceExceptional writing and verbal communication skills Candidates must be an active member of the New York State Bar.
