Join TURCK, a global leader in industrial automation, as a Mechanical Design Engineer II and make an impact by designing products that shape global connectivity and drive modern manufacturing forward.What You'll DoAs a key member of the R&D project team, this individual will drive new product development from concept through industrialization while ensuring compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. The Mechanical Engineer II will standardize materials and components, develop technical documentation that supports manufacturability and quality, and collaborate closely with Product Management, cross‑functional teams, and global engineering partners. In addition to supporting both new development and product sustainment efforts, this position contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance process efficiency and product reliability. The role may also include supporting onboarding activities for new team members.Product DevelopmentSupport the design and development of new products from concept to industrialization with engineering rigor.Responsible for qualifying developed products to specifications, regulatory requirements, and performance criteria defined within internal Marketing Requirements and Customer defined requirements.Drive material and component standardization to reduce complexity, improve manufacturability, and enhance downstream operational efficiency.Collaborate with local and global engineering, operations, and product teams to ensure successful execution of platform roadmaps and custom solution development.Create and release new product's defining technical documentation, including product standards/guidelines, control prints, and engineering specifications.Product SupportSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost optimization, product consolidation, manufacturability improvements, and long‑term product reliability.Partner with the Product Support team to proactively resolve design and process issues on new products, leveraging lessons learned from prior projects or sustainment requests.OtherMay maintain key Subject Matter Expert (SME) development role(s) that are vital to company success.Support the department through Continuous Improvement by identifying system gaps within the front-to-back and back-to-front process responsibilities.Onboarding new employees into the company's systems, structures, and culture.Perform other duties as assignedWhat You'll BringRequired:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline2–4 years of experience in product development or a related engineering fieldProficiency in CAD software for mechanical design and analysisStrong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality workProven ability to manage multiple projects across various development phasesSelf‑motivated with strong problem‑solving and organizational skillsExperience designing and evaluating CNC‑machined componentsHands‑on experience with mechanical systems/assemblies, including design, testing, and validationBonus Points For:Proficiency with SolidWorks for 3D modeling, design, and mechanical analysisExperience selecting thermoplastics and designing components for plastic injection moldingHands‑on experience in designing, testing, and validating electromechanical systems and assembliesWhy TURCK?Autonomy & ImpactTake ownership of your work and drive meaningful results.Career GrowthBuild your skills and grow your career within a global organization that invests in your development.Collaborative CultureWork with teams who value partnership, inclusion, and continuous improvement.Comprehensive Benefits Package (Most benefits effective Day 1)Premium Health & Dental Insurance - Above‑market employer contributions with competitive plan designs and an on-site healthcare clinicianCompany‑Paid Life Insurance - Coverage equal to 1.5× your annual salaryDisability Protection - 100% short‑term disability coverage plus long‑term disability supportRetirement Security - 401(k) with employer match and profit sharingGenerous Time Off - PTO, paid holidays, and flexible scheduling to support work‑life balanceReady to Lead the Future of Automation?Apply now to join a company where your leadership drives real results and your career can thrive.
