Industrial Sewing Machine Operator (Serger)Tomball, TX $17.00 per hour Shift: Monday to Friday | 6:00 AM 4:30 PM Temp-to-hire positionJob SummaryThe Industrial Sewing Machine Operator will be responsible for supporting the production of automotive accessories by operating industrial sewing machines (especially serger machines), assembling parts, and ensuring the quality of the final product. This role requires prior industrial sewing experience and strong attention to detail.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate industrial sewing machines (serger) in a manufacturing environmentSew and assemble parts to create finished productsMeasure and cut materials (such as canvas) according to specificationsFollow product guidelines and production samplesInspect products during and after production to identify defectsTrim excess thread or material and maintain a clean work areaHandle and move materials throughout the production processOrganize sewing supplies (threads, bindings, cords, etc.) based on work ordersMeet quality and productivity standardsFollow all safety guidelines and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)Assist in other production areas as neededRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum of 3 years of serger machine experience (REQUIRED)Industrial sewing or upholstery experience (preferred)Ability to use a measuring tapeBasic mechanical skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsWillingness to learn and work in different areasPhysical RequirementsFrequently lift up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs)Stand, walk, bend, and use hand tools throughout the shiftWork in a manufacturing environment with noise, machinery, and varying conditionsWork EnvironmentExposure to moving machinery, noise, dust, and production conditionsRequired use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Team-oriented, fast-paced work environmentApply Today!
