Our unique, patented technology enables this value proposition to our customers.We are seeking a Senior Director of Business Development—a high-stakes dealmaker to lead the charge in filling our existing and planned pipeline. This is not a "cold-calling" role; this is a mandate for a seasoned executive with a pre-existing "Rolodex" of decision-makers at the highest levels of the global digital infrastructure market.The RoleYour mission is to find, negotiate, and close large-scale capacity deals for our current and future data center builds. You will leverage ECL’s unique design—specifically our multi-fuel energy power design (FlexGrid) and multi- stage evaporative and liquid-to-chip cooling capabilities—to win contracts with the world's most demanding AI and cloud providers.Key Responsibilities:Customer Acquisition: Identify and secure anchor tenants for current site 30MW+ available for customers by the end of 2026, as well as other planned sites positioned for Inference workloads (20MW-50MW). Also to close anchor tenants for our Texas based sites with will scale from (150MW – 1GW+), available 1H of 2027.Relationship Management: Act as the primary executive point of contact for capacity planning teams and "Head of Infrastructure" roles at global tech firms.Strategic Negotiation: Lead complex, multi-year Master Service Agreement (MSA) negotiations, balancing technical requirements with financial yield.Value Proposition Delivery: Effectively communicate the ECL advantage: how our site-specific energy independence and cooling density solve the "time-to-compute" bottleneck. ECL provides time to token in less than one year from contract/funding.Market Intelligence: Provide real-time feedback to the engineering and finance teams regarding the evolving needs of AI-first customers for Nvidia and other GPU/TPU/CPU technologies.Mandatory RequirementsIf you do not meet the following criteria, you will not be considered for this role:The Network: You must bring an existing, verifiable network of high-level relationships with decision-makers and influencers within:Hyperscalers: (Google, Meta, MSFT, AWS, Oracle, etc.)Top-Tier NeoClouds: (CoreWeave, Nebius, Nscale, Lambda, Crusoe, etc.)Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing $10M+ annual recurring revenue (ARR) deals or large-scale multi-megawatt capacity contracts at a major Data Center Operator (DCO).Education: Bachelor’s degree. Engineering is preferable.Preferred QualificationsLocation: Residence in the San Francisco Bay Area is a significant plus, given our current project focus and local industry density.Technical Fluency: A solid understanding of data center power architecture, PUE optimization, and the shift from air to liquid cooling.Entrepreneurial Grit: The ability to operate in a high-growth, founder-led environment where speed and adaptability are the primary advantages.Compensation & BenefitsWe believe in rewarding the "rainmakers" who drive our growth.
