The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and distributed system architecture. This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring both architectural vision and coding expertise.Required Skills10+ years of experience in Java application development with strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.Deep expertise in AWS Cloud Architecture including:AWS LambdaAPI GatewayS3SQS & SNSDynamoDBRDS/AuroraECS/EKSIAMVPCCloudWatchStrong experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Expertise with relational and NoSQL databases including:PostgreSQLMySQLOracleAurora/RDSDynamoDBMongoDBCassandraRedisElasticsearchExperience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, monitoring, and observability tools.Strong understanding of event-driven architecture, messaging systems, and cloud-native application design.Experience working with GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, or other AI-assisted development tools.AWS Solutions Architect Certification is highly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, architect, and develop secure, scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications using Java and AWS.Lead application modernization initiatives and cloud migration strategies.Define architecture standards, technical roadmaps, and engineering best practices.Design scalable microservices and event-driven solutions for enterprise applications.Optimize application performance, database design, query tuning, and system scalability.Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.Provide technical leadership, mentor development teams, and conduct architecture/code reviews.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.Ensure security, reliability, high availability, and operational excellence across cloud platforms.Preferred QualificationsRecent hands-on development experience with Java and Spring Boot.Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native application architecture.Experience implementing secure, event-driven enterprise solutions.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to drive technical initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment.Principal Engineer or Technical Architect mindset with strong ownership and leadership qualities.
