The ideal teammate demonstrates the ability to prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reporting for management and other stakeholders.About the PositionThis role supports the financial and operational activities of multiple business entities across a broad range of disciplines. The Accounting Manager serves as a trusted advisor to internal clients while providing leadership, oversight, and technical accounting expertise.What you will doThe Accounting Manager oversees complex financial reporting, collaborates across departments, and provides guidance to accounting staff while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high-quality financial information.ResponsibilitiesManage relationships, consult, and advise regarding finances, including reporting, forecasting, and budgeting for assigned clientsAnalyze and prepare complex financial statements, including consolidations and related schedulesMaintain cash balances and oversee cash activity, including coordinating with other staff to ensure timely payment and high-quality input to accounting softwareDelegate and collaborate with Accountants and Staff Accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reportingPresent multi-faceted information and financial reports, providing additional analysis and information as neededCollaborate with other departments to prepare financial package presentations and build customized reportsCoordinate with other staff to provide support for other finance and accounting projectsTrack business activities and prepare supporting informationPrepare journal entries for payroll, depreciation, investments and other areas as neededProvide support to tax department for compliance and tax return preparationProvide schedules and information to other departments as neededAnalyze and prepare recommendations to management on process improvementParticipate in mentoring and training activities and work reviewsPerform other duties as required and necessary to accomplish goals and objectivesWho we are looking forSkills neededAdvanced financial analysis and reporting expertiseStrong judgment and problem-solving capabilityAbility to manage multiple priorities with attention to detailEffective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative leadership and delegation skillsProficiency with accounting systems and reporting toolsQualifications required for your successBachelors' degree in accounting or related fieldMinimum 15 years work experience in an accounting role within a Professional SettingCPA certification or Master's Degree preferredStrong technical skills, including knowledge and use of Accounting Software, Microsoft Word, Excel, and OutlookAdditional Helpful Experience IncludesExperience using Microsoft Business Central, Solver, Power BI, Addepar, and SharePointPrefer experience in a Family Office or ultra-high net worth accountingPrefer work experience in Big 4 public accountingPersonal attributes that support your successDemonstrates discretion, integrity, and expertise while serving as a trusted advisor to principals and colleagues.Collaborates respectfully and effectively with others, contributing to a supportive, team-oriented environment.Approaches challenges with curiosity, bold thinking, and a commitment to continuous learning and innovation.Maintains a strong focus on results, consistently exercising sound judgment and decision-making.Brings a visionary mindset, planning strategically for the future with imagination and insight.Committed to excellence and actively engages with others to accomplish shared goals.All offers of employment are contingent on your successful completion (where permitted by state law) of a confidentiality agreement and background check.
