Construction Site Superintendent

Job description: This is an entry-level construction superintendent assignment requiring strong organizational skills, ability to read basic plans, and oversight of subcontractors and trades. The Superintendent will be responsible for keeping the project on track, ensuring safety, and driving progress within Amazon’s standards. *This is a 5-8 week contract with the chance to go long-term. Key Responsibilities Lead daily onsite activities and supervise subcontractors across general construction, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP). Oversee exterior work including fencing, canopy installation, sprinkler, exit signage, and chain-link fence around the new dispatcher area. Manage surface-level conduit installation, card readers for gate access, and other small-scale electrical/MEP work. Coordinate site logistics, deliveries, and workforce schedules. Monitor quality and ensure adherence to project specifications and safety standards. Provide daily reporting and progress updates to project management. Ensure project milestones are achieved on time, with potential extension beyond 8 weeks. Qualifications 3+ years of construction supervision or site superintendent experience. Ability to read and interpret basic construction plans. Strong general construction knowledge; MEP familiarity preferred but not required. Experience coordinating subcontractors and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. OSHA 10 or 30 certification strongly preferred. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Comfortable managing a fast-paced, exterior-focused project with multiple trades.
