This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions for financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers across a wide range of industries.The ideal candidate has strong transactional experience, exceptional drafting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative corporate practice environment.ResponsibilitiesAdvise clients on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactionsRepresent financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers in complex transactionsDraft and negotiate acquisition and disposition agreements and related transaction documentsConduct due diligence and assist with transaction structuringCoordinate with clients and internal teams throughout all phases of transactionsSupport deal execution from inception through closingQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited U.S. law school4–6 years of M&A and private equity experienceExperience representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers preferredStrong drafting, analytical, and communication skillsExcellent academic credentialsAdmission to the Illinois Bar (in good standing)Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary ($310,000 – $390,000) plus bonus potential.
