Business Development Representative

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for generating new business through the sale of security officer services and integrated technology solutions. Using a consultative sales approach, the BDE identifies client needs, develops customized solutions, and builds long-term customer relationships.This role works closely with Field Operations Leaders throughout the sales process to ensure successful implementation and ongoing client satisfaction. The BDE is expected to follow the Business Development Roadmap, achieve assigned KPI goals, and contribute to overall revenue growth. Salesforce serves as the primary platform for managing sales activities, pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue tracking.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain strong business relationships throughout the assigned territory.Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic lead generation efforts.Leverage existing relationships across sister companies (janitorial, HVAC, mechanical services) to identify cross-selling opportunities.Conduct consultative sales meetings and deliver tailored security and technology solutions through proposals and RFP responses.Identify and engage key decision-makers using the Business Development Roadmap.Build and enhance the American Security & Investigations brand through professional networking, community involvement, and social media engagement.Collaborate with Field Operations and regional leadership to demonstrate operational capabilities and ensure seamless service implementation.Strategically manage travel and scheduling to maximize client engagement and territory coverage.Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, and annual sales activity and revenue goals.Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline opportunities, forecasts, and client interactions in Salesforce.Conduct business with the highest level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.Skills & QualificationsProven success in a B2B consultative sales environment, preferably selling service-based solutions.Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales goals and performance metrics.Strong prospecting and business development skills with a hunter mentality.Experience leveraging LinkedIn, professional networks, and community events to generate opportunities.Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client relationships.Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM platforms, along with Microsoft Office applications.Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with operations teams and internal stakeholders.Experience utilizing a formal sales methodology or structured sales process preferred.Professional sales training in consultative or strategic selling techniques preferred.Education & Experience3–5 years of outside B2B sales experience required.Experience selling service-based solutions is strongly preferred.Business Conduct ExpectationsDemonstrate commitment to company values, ethics, and Code of Conduct.Promote a culture of safety and accountability.Treat employees, clients, and business partners with professionalism and respect.Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for operational and service enhancements.Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.Financial ResponsibilityThis position does not have direct responsibility for branch profit and loss; however, the BDE is expected to understand key operational and financial drivers that contribute to business success.Supervisory ResponsibilityNoneTerritory and LocationThis position supports a sales territory throughout Central and North Florida.
