Software Engineer (Mid level - Clearance Required) - (US - Remote)
Description ICF is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of secure, mission-critical applications for a federal client. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in modern software development and experience working within an Agile environment. This is a fully remote role which may require occasional travel to the DC Metro area as needed for client needs.What You Will DoContribute to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenanceDevelop and enhance application features using modern programming languages and frameworksCollaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, QA, and DevOpsWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following secure coding and best-practice standardsTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issuesParticipate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectivesSupport documentation efforts including technical designs and system updatesWhat You Will BringMust possess an active Top Secret security clearance (sponsorship is not available)3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar roleMUST RESIDE IN THE United States (U.S.) and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States (U.S.), as this work is for a federal contract and laws do applyMust be US Citizen due to a federal contract requirements.What We Would Like You To HaveExperience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similarExperience with frameworks such as React (React preferred) or AngularFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologiesExperience working with APIs, databases, and cloud or hybrid environmentsUnderstanding of secure software development practicesExperience supporting federal government or DoD programsExposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GovCloud environments)Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practicesBachelors degree in related fieldWorking at ICFICF is a global advisory and technology services provider, but we're not your typical consultants.
