Senior Project Architect

Provides design and technical support throughout project administration, design development, and construction documents phases.This role ensures technical excellence, coordination of building systems, and adherence to firm standards while supporting overall project delivery from concept through construction.Job ResponsibilitiesEnsures technical adherence to office and firm-wide standards by providing technical viewpoint on ground-up and base building projectsDirects staff to complete construction documents (CDs) for full building scope including core, shell, and site elementsReviews CDs to ensure compliance with firm standards, structural coordination, building systems, codes, zoning, and accessibility requirementsWorks with design staff to provide technical solutions for complex building systems, envelope detailing, and site coordination challengesManages coordination with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and specialty consultantsManages contract administration budget. Ensures adherence to set budget and immediately informs PM and/or client of any potential variancesManages the work of other technical staff. Oversees tasks and provides feedback on workOrganizes and conducts client interviews to determine technical requirements and project goalsParticipates in permitting submissions and responds to agency review commentsReviews RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intentEducation & Work ExperienceGraduate of architecture or design school.8+ years' work experience on corporate interior design projects.Licensed ArchitectKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExtensive knowledge of design principles and standards.Advanced interior architecture detailing skills.Expert interior architecture detailing skillsExtensive knowledge of CDs and procedures.Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.Extensive knowledge of space requirements.Extensive knowledge of contract administration.Advanced Revit skills.Demonstrated ability to manage and lead junior staff through a combination of direct authority and subject matter expertise.Salary Range: $115,000 - $140,000 based on education, licensing and relevant industry experience
