Stakeholder & Business Requirement Definition Market & regulatory requirements (range, charging time, safety, cybersecurity) Cost, weight, scalability, platform reuse targets Regional compliance (UNECE R100, R155, R156, FMVSS, GB standards) SDV roadmap alignment (OTA, feature monetization) Output Stakeholder Requirements Specification (StRS) Vehicle Feature List & KPIs b. Vehicle Functional Decomposition Break down vehicle functions into: Propulsion Energy & Charging Chassis & Safety Body & Comfort ADAS/Infotainment Define functional ownership (HPC vs Zonal vs ECU) Output Vehicle Functional Architecture Function to Domain mapping 2. EV Specific EE Architecture Definition a. EE Topology Design Architecture selection: Distributed ECU Domain based Zonal + HPC Zonal partitioning (front/rear/left/right) HPC roles (vehicle compute, ADAS, body fusion) Key Decisions Number of zones Redundancy strategy Safety partitioning Outputs EE Topology Diagrams Zonal Controller Responsibilities b. Power & Energy Architecture HV system architecture: Battery pack, BMS, contactors Inverter, motor, OBC, DC DC LV distribution (12V / 48V) Power modes & sleep strategies Outputs Power Distribution Architecture Energy Flow Diagrams Load & power budget 3. Network & Communication Engineering a.
