Intern, Public PolicyExplore a career in public policy with a trade association focused on evidence-based policy advocacy and committed to advancing public policies that foster economic growth, job creation and international competitiveness in the vital paper and wood products sector. This internship will provide meaningful work experience and a glimpse into how American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) supports a major U.S. manufacturing industry.Support our dynamic public policy team by:Assisting with research projects related to environment and climate, sustainability, safety, energy and other relevant policy areasIdentifying and tracking industry and research trendsMonitoring bills and regulatory developmentsDrafting communications and policy documentsAF&PA's internships are intended to:Provide valuable work experience in areas of interest and studyAllow individuals to learn about the essential and vital work of a major U.S. manufacturing industryProvide exposure to the various disciplines within AF&PA, the public policy world and the industryExpose interns to professionals in their field of study and other disciplinesCompensation:Pay: $18.40 per hour Expected hours: 37.50 per week, for 8 weeksAbout Us:The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) values diverse backgrounds and capabilities and invites all talented individuals to apply to be part of our team and support our culture and mission.
