OVERVIEWYour job as the Director of Investments is crucial in leading a successful comprehensive Investment program at Procyon. Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, the Director of Investments will oversee all aspects of our investment platform, including trading, billing/audit functions, investment research, and advisor-facing initiatives. This is a leadership position requiring both strategic vision and hands-on execution.QUALIFICATIONS5-7 years of management experience with portfolio strategy and implementation, advisor support, or equity research within wealth management, RIA, or asset management environmentsSeries 65 requiredBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a quantitative field; advanced degree (MBA, MS etc.) preferredChartered Financial Analyst (CFA) strongly preferredDirect experience with independent advisorsExcellent attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExceptional interpersonal, presentation and written/verbal communication skills; adept at translating complex concepts for advisors and clientsStrong work ethic, self-motivated, and goal oriented.Advanced proficiency in Black Diamond Wealth Platform (portfolio management, reporting, and integrations); experience with integrated research platforms such as Morningstar, YCharts, FactSet, or Bloomberg highly desirable.JOB DESCRIPTIONThis position will be held under the direct supervision of Procyon’s Chief Investment Officer, Antonio Rodrigues. The Director of Investments will lead in the following ways:Strategy and Operational OversightLead and oversee all trading, investment, and reporting operations, including portfolio construction, asset allocation, model management, and execution consistency across platformsDrive innovation and integration across systems, technology, and workflows to enhance efficiency, scalability, data integrity, and client reporting accuracy (including billing and audit functions)Supervise investment programs across public and private markets, SMAs, and options overlays, while guiding portfolio strategy and performance monitoring, and ensuring effective audit and billing functions.People ManagementBuild, lead, and develop the investment research, portfolio consulting, and trading teams, including direct management and mentorship of key team membersOversee the internship program and support team development through coaching, training, and performance managementFoster cross-functional collaboration and provide strategic feedback to senior leadership while supporting advisors and internal stakeholdersSpecial ProjectsLead investment-related M&A efforts, including due diligence, portfolio mapping, advisor onboarding, and integration of investment processes and systemsDrive complex portfolio initiatives such as tax transitions, legacy holdings, and high-volume or specialized trading scenariosPartner with advisors and clients as a senior investment resource, contributing to proposals, client meetings, market commentary, and firm-wide presentations (e.g., town halls, webinars)WHY PROCYONProcyon was designed from the ground up to be an excellent home for our clients and employees.
