Level III NICU Location: near Dogue, VirginiaStart Date: Late July 2025 (until site transition) Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatologist for a locum tenens assignment in a 40-bed Level III NICU Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated physician looking to contribute to a collaborative, high-acuity environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide care for critically ill neonates, including those requiring: High-frequency ventilation Inhaled nitric oxide Pediatric surgical support Therapeutic hypothermia monitored by aEEG Participate in a 24/7 in-house coverage model: Day Shift: 7:30 AM ??? 5:00 PM (2 physicians) Night Shift: 5:00 PM ??? 7:30 AM (1 physician) 30-minute overlap for seamless hand-off Document and manage patient care using Meditech EMR Schedule & Call: Weekends are part of the rotation No on-call requirements Qualifications: MD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Neonatology Virginia medical license and DEA registration Current ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications Clean background and malpractice history required Additional Details: Emergency and temporary hospital privileges available Pediatricians manage well-baby care On-site pediatric surgery support How to Apply:Qualified candidates ready to make an immediate impact are encouraged to apply now.
