Sr. Systems Analyst Product Owner Analyst
OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and analytical professional to join our team as a Product Owner Analyst. This hybrid role combines the strategic vision of a Product Owner with the detailed analytical skills of a Business Analyst, making you a critical bridge between business objectives and technical execution. The Product Owner Analyst is responsible for maximizing the value of our products by managing and prioritizing the product backlog while performing in-depth business analysis. You will work with the Product Owner and be the key liaison between our business stakeholders and our development team, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and ensuring the delivered product meets both business requirements and company goals. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), Business Analysis, and agile product ownership, with a focus on continuous improvement and user satisfaction.This position does not provide employment pursuant to the terms of a STEM OPT Training Plan.ResponsibilitiesCore ResponsibilitiesPrioritize the product backlog by balancing business value, technical effort, and market demand to ensure the development team is focused on delivering the highest valueDefine and write clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria, epics, and features; to ensure the development team understands what needs to be builtConduct backlog grooming sessions with the development team to refine and elaborate on user storiesCreate detailed business requirements documentation, process flow diagrams, and user journey mapsGather and analyze market and user feedback, incorporating data-driven insights into the product development processFacilitate key agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, sprint reviews, and customer training sessionsWork closely with the development team to clarify requirements, resolve ambiguities, and ensure a shared understanding of the product visionCollaborate with UX/UI designers and other teams to create optimal user experiencesPerform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and review completed work to confirm it meets the defined acceptance criteriaQualificationsRequired Education/ExperienceMaster's Degree and a minimum of two (2) years full-time work experience orBachelor's Degree and a minimum of three (3) years full-time work experience orAssociate's Degree and a minimum of four (4) years full-time work experience orHigh School Diploma/GED and a minimum of five (5) years full-time work experience.Preferred Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering, Business or applicable degree and a minimum of three (3) years full-time work experience with ServiceNow or a similar cloud-based platform for digital workflow automation.Relevant Work Experience Licenses/Certifications in IIBA Certificate in Product Ownership Analysis (IIBA-CPOA), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and/or ITIL 4 Foundation certification, Preferred Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or a combined hybrid role in Agile environments, Required Strong backlog management, story writing, and prioritization skills, Required Familiarity with a broad range of Infrastructure and application concepts (e.g. servers, networks, databases, application concepts etc., Required Strong understanding of widely recognized ITSM frameworks such as ITIL, Required Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, Required Proficiency with agile management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps and/or other similar tools), Required Experience with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau and/or other similar tools), Required Proven ability to work both independently and collaborating as part of a distributed team while demonstrating key traits of creativity, initiative, and flexibility, Required Strong skills and experience with MS Office suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project, Required Excellent oral and written communication skills.
