Coordinator schedule: June 22, 2026, to July 10, 2026, 4 hours per day (8:30 am - 12:30 pm), including Monday, June 22, and Friday, July 11, 2026
Students, Teaching & Support Staff attend Tuesday - Wednesday (June 23 - July 9)

General Functions
The Washougal School District Summer School Coordinator, is responsible for administration of the summer school program, including planning and coordination, program implementation, building and staff supervision and reporting. The position is also responsible for the discipline, attendance and supervision of students.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
The summer school coordinator will:
Plan and coordinate summer school program
Establish class lists. (i.e. calendar for registration cut-offs - enrollment deadlines, etc.)
Organize/establish registration schedule
Set final schedules - class and busing
Collect/organize/disseminate final staffing lists
Coordinate summer school registration including preparation of necessary forms, etc.
Program Implementation
Maintain ongoing communication with director
Monitor the processes for staff and student attendance.
Building and Staff Supervision
Supervise staff and students during summer school.
Articulate responsibilities and provide orientation to summer school staff.
Oversee K-5 summer school staff attendance.
Oversee required K-5 student reports (for parents and student records).
On-site supervision of staff/students.
Qualifications
Current Washington State Administrative Certificate
K-5 teaching endorsement and experience teaching within K-5, preferred
Current or previous experience teaching students within a supplemental reading program, preferred
Current First Aid/CPR certificate required
Working Environment
The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Generally the job requires 30% sitting, 30% walking, and 40% standing.
The job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment.
The job often demands working beyond the school day and frequent evening and/or weekend responsibilities.
