Quality Control Chemist

Our company is currently seeking a Quality Control Chemist to join our Quality Control Team. The ideal candidate will have experience with testing raw materials, in-process and finished goods using wet chemical and instrument methods. The Quality Control Chemist supports the manufacturing plant by testing and providing results on incoming raw materials, in process manufactured products and finished goods. This role reports directly to the QC Supervisor and assists the R&D and SHEQ teams when needed.Essential Functions:Perform analysis of production in-process and finished goods samples and incoming received goodsAccurately and completely catalog work into a lab notebookComply with established operating procedures, test methods, product formulationsInterpret and communicate test results; make in-process correctionsEnter accurate and complete quality data into SAPMaintain product/process retain samplesMaintain and calibrate instrumentsComply with Pulcra’s QMS and EMS, and participate in audits as needed, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001Assist in customer complaint investigationsAssist R&D as neededAbility to work all shifts and weekendsAny other task as assigned by managementCompetenciesTime managementOrganization skillsAttention to detailExcellent computer skills, including ExcelProven technical skillsGood to excellent lab/analytical techniquesStrong communication skills (both written and oral)Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional quality control chemical laboratory environment.
