A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - ED ER Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement • Float within all sections of the Emergency Department (no floating outside of ED) • Patient ratios: 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds • Must have 2 years nursing experience with at least 1 year in ER setting • Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center experience required • High volume emergency department experience (>100,000 visits) required • Previous HCA experience preferred • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before start date, ENPC within 90 days of hire • Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system • Navy scrubs required for RNs (all navy, all white, or combination of navy and white) • Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time • Follow AIDET standards, respectful behavior, and patient experience requirements • Keep boards updated with patient information throughout visits • 4-hour hospital orientation followed by 8-hour floor shift • Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department required Facility: This healthcare facility operates a 101-bed emergency department serving as a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center.
