This includes, but is not limited to, Qumulo file storage, native Azure Storage services, Windows and Linux servers, Azure-native monitoring, Tanium patching, load balancers, Zerto disaster recovery replication, and Rubrik backups.This role partners closely with customers and internal teams to ensure Azure platforms are secure, performant, scalable, and cost-effective. The ideal candidate brings strong Azure engineering expertise, operational discipline, a customer-first mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement and automation.Role DescriptionDesign, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure, including Qumulo file storage clusters, Azure Files, Blob Storage, Managed Disks, and Virtual MachinesAdminister and manage Windows and Linux servers in Azure, including patching using TaniumAdminister Azure-native monitoring tools, including Azure Monitor and Log Analytics, and implement monitoring, alerting, and reporting across Azure environmentsManage and support Azure load balancers, with general familiarity of Azure networking concepts as needed (core networking supported by a dedicated network engineer)Manage and support Zerto disaster recovery replication and Rubrik backup solutions in AzureMonitor, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, capacity, and availability issues across supported Azure platforms and servicesOptimize Azure environments for performance, resiliency, security, and cost efficiencyLead and contribute to managed services projects and service improvement initiatives across Azure infrastructureEngage directly with customers through meetings, incidents, change requests, and project delivery, ensuring alignment with customer needs and success criteriaDevelop, maintain, and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Azure operationsSupport Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation initiatives to enable repeatable and scalable deploymentsPerform automation and scripting using PowerShell, Python, and/or Azure CLITrack time and document work accurately in SHI systemsParticipate in audits, compliance activities, and a rotating on-call schedule?Behaviors and CompetenciesCollaboration: Can proactively seek out diverse perspectives, facilitate open communication among team members, and drive toward consensus and action.Initiative: Can proactively seek out challenges, initiate projects, and contribute to innovative ideas.Communication: Can effectively communicate complex ideas and information to diverse audiences and can facilitate effective communication between others.Customer Service: Can proactively seek out customer feedback, empathize with customers, and tailor solutions to their unique needs.Technical Troubleshooting: Can proactively seek out potential technical problems, initiate preventive measures, and contribute to innovative solutions.Time Management: Can consistently use time effectively, balance multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.Organization: Can effectively coordinate multiple projects, delegate tasks where appropriate, and employ advanced organizational tools and methods.Willingness to Learn: Can regularly integrate new skills and knowledge into daily work and is open to feedback and making changes accordingly.Self-Development: Can actively seek feedback and use it constructively for personal growth.Skill Level RequirementsHands-on experience supporting production Azure environments, including compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, and monitoringExperience supporting Qumulo file storage deployed in AzureExperience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Azure BackupExperience with Tanium patching for Windows and Linux serversExperience managing load balancers in AzureExperience supporting Zerto disaster recovery replication and Rubrik backup solutionsAutomation and scripting experience using PowerShell, Python, and/or Azure CLIWorking knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and SMB/NFS permissions and access controlExperience using version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOpsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong sense of ownership, accountability, and customer focusCollaborative, team-oriented mindsetAdaptability and commitment to continuous learningAbility to work effectively in a remote, camera-on environmentOther RequirementsBachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience3-5 years of experience in a managed services or Azure-focused engineering roleAbility to work occasional overtime or holidays as business needs require participation in a rotating on-call scheduleMust?maintain?utilization?targets set by leadershipMust successfully pass a CJIS Background Check upon Hire and annually thereafterCertificationsMicrosoft Azure Associate-level certification (AZ-104 or equivalent), or ability to obtain within 3 monthsITIL v3+ certification, or ability to obtain within 6 monthsPreferred RequirementsExperience supporting large-scale or performance-sensitive file workloads in AzureFamiliarity with IT Glue, Autotask, Datto RMM, and documentation toolsExperience supporting regulated environments (e.g., CJIS, FERPA)The estimated annual pay range for this position is $125,000 - $155,000 which includes a base salary and bonus/commissions. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
