Accountant | Santa Barbara We’re hiring an Accountant to join our team.This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys owning key parts of the monthly close process, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting reporting, budgeting, audits, and process improvements.What you’ll do:Prepare and post journal entriesPerform account reconciliations and variance analysisSupport month-end close and financial reportingAssist with budgeting and audit preparationMonitor cash activity and bank transfersMaintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedulesSupport payroll processing through ADPAssist with accounts payable functionsPrepare regulatory and government financial reportsIdentify opportunities to improve processes and internal controlsParticipate in system and process implementationsWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance2–4 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAPExperience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysisIntermediate Excel skillsStrong attention to detail, organization, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a deadline-driven environmentExperience in healthcare or non-profit industry is a plus.
