It would be out of this world to have you on our team!Please read on!The ideal candidate possesses the core values above, as well as highly proficient skills in accounting and/or bookkeeping.Required functional skills include the ability to maintain records with a service-oriented attitude and client-facing experience. You must be able to prepare financial statements, maintain financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, process accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage invoices and tax payments and execute payroll. The ideal candidate brings to BKBY 5-10+ years of bookkeeping experience, at least 3-5+ years of QuickBooks Online experience, and a can-do attitude.We seek someone who can integrate quickly into our team, become quickly self-sufficient, and support multiple clients. Professional services experience is a plus – you will be providing value-added services to multiple clients quickly. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is a plus, we value professional experience just as much—if not more.For this position, you are welcome to work fully remote, Hybrid, or come into our office.BKBY is conveniently and centrally located in the Heights area of Houston, TX -- near Memorial Park.Functional ResponsibilitiesRecord day to day financial transactionsPrepare AP and send out on scheduled basis, post AR paymentsReconcile daily invoices and monthly statements and pay them by scheduling and preparing checks and credit card payments, reconcile bank and credit card statements, based on the needs of each clientMaintain records, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detailAssist with the preparation of reports and financial statementsPrepare and facilitate Sales & Use Tax, Quarterly Estimates, Year End 1099 formsSupport the client relationship by providing great service and being available as needed in response to client questionsAbility to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objective, within first monthRequired Skills5-10+ years of experience in Full Charge Bookkeeping with proficiency in QuickBooks OnlineProficiency in English and in MAC computer softwareExperience with managing multiple clients, preferredHighly proficient knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles experienceStrong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills, with ability to balance competing prioritiesAbility to effectively present information, communicate with, and respond to questions from co-workers, management, and external groupsContinuous improvement mindset and the ability to adapt to changing demandsHighly analytical, high degree of accuracy and attention to detailRequired Interpersonal SkillsAbility to quickly integrate into our team, and to work independentlyExcellent interpersonal communication, both written and verbalCustomer service orientation and skills; comfortable answering client questions and solving problems as neededProfessional services experience a plusEducation: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) but not required.
