Grain and Oilseed MillingMetalworking Machinery ManufacturingInvestigation and Security ServicesAmusement Parks and ArcadesTobacco ManufacturingOverview: Swank Construction Company is looking for a Equipment Operator to join our Milling DivisionKey ResponsibilitiesAbility to operate or learn to operate a Rota-Mill.Maintenance of milling equipment & machinery, which includes checking fluids, changing teeth, and washing the machine.Keeps job site clean of all unused/waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure manner.Perform all other duties as assigned.Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by supervisors.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; additional technical training in mechanics, equipment maintenance, or related fields preferred.Valid Driver's License18 Years of Age or OlderMust be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends)Willingness to travel for extended periods of time.Must be in a union or willing to join a unionValid driver's licenseMechanical aptitudeWilling and able to obtain and maintain a Swank Driver File, including a PennDOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card)Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, MVR check, and background checkPreferred QualificationsClass A or B CDL with Tanker EndorsementPrior experience as a heavy equipment operator or other relevant experiencePhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentWill frequently be exposed to risk of accident and/or unpleasant elements (e.g., extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, loud noises, heights, uneven work surfaces, and hazardous substances).Will be required to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy items and materials.Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl for extended periods or when needed.Ability to effectively communicate in, and understand, English.Required to utilize personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses & boots) at appropriate times.Swank Construction Company, LLC is a well-known and respected leader in the heavy highway construction industry.
