We are committed to helping patients regain strength, independence, and quality of life through compassionate, team-based care.Position SummarySpaulding Cape Cod and it’s Spaulding Rehabilitation Associates of the Massachusetts General Physician Organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. This is a community-based, non-academic role focused on direct patient care in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The internist will serve as the attending physician, working closely with physiatrists, therapists, nurses, and case managers to support the medical needs of patients throughout their rehabilitation stay.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the attending physician for 12–16 medically complex inpatient rehabilitation patientsProvide comprehensive medical management including daily rounding, admission H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summariesAverage 1 admission per day (maximum of 2)Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support care planning and discharge readinessRespond to Rapid Response Team activations and medical codes as neededParticipate in the call rotation, including weekends (typically 1:8)Attend staff meetings and engage in hospital administrative activities as assignedOptional opportunity to receive training in rehabilitation medicineScheduleMonday–Friday, approximately 8:30 AM – 5:30 PMQualificationsMD or DO with Board Certification/Eligibility in Internal MedicineEligible for licensure in MassachusettsInpatient or hospitalist experience preferredInterest in rehabilitation care or working in an interdisciplinary settingStrong communication, clinical judgment, and team collaboration skills About Spaulding and Mass General BrighamMass General Brigham is a leading integrated healthcare system founded by Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
