(MTI) is looking for a well-rounded and enthusiastic Small Business Compliance Coordinator to join our growing team to assist with our West Coast-based projects. You will help our company implement Small Business, Community Programs, and Outreach on large scale construction projects (think bridges, subway systems and tall buildings). Our ideal candidate is comfortable attending outreach events on their own (an outgoing personality with no reservations is a plus!) and meetings with all walks of life on behalf of our clients and their projects … but is equally as comfortable with data, spreadsheets, and database systems to help our clients reach their compliance goals and reporting (a comfort with data, databases, and the ability to create reports is preferred)!Key Responsibilities:Program Support & Compliance (Data-Focused Tasks):Learn and apply small business program requirements (DBE, SBE, etc.).Support the project team with data tracking and program implementation.Monitor compliance by collecting and analyzing small business contract and payment data.Track proposals, contracts, and change orders for small business participation.Use tools like Excel and internal databases to maintain organized, accurate records.Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.Prepare Good Faith Efforts documentation and compile supporting materials.Enter and manage outreach activity data in our cloud-based system.Community Outreach & Coordination (People-Focused Tasks):Attend and speak at small business and workforce outreach events.Coordinate with construction teams and clients.Make outreach and procurement calls to small businesses.Meet with small business owners to encourage participation in contracting opportunities.Log outreach efforts and materials into our system.Help coordinate newsletters and program activities.What We’re Looking For: (Must-have qualifications are bolded and italicized)Located in or near the Los Angeles area.Reliable transportation to attend events and meetings.Proficient in Excel and working with large datasets.Strong organizational and time management skills.Outgoing personality with strong communication skills.Comfortable presenting and engaging with diverse audiences.Previous experience in construction or small business programs is a plus.What We Offer:Competitive salary and paid benefits15 days of PTO annually10 paid holidaysCompany-provided laptop and phone401(k) planA supportive, fast-growing team environmentSalary Range:$55,000 to $75,000 depending on experience.
