Field Service Engineer – Cooling & Refrigeration (HVAC) Netherlands (Amsterdam area) International HVAC & Cooling Solutions Leader🎯 Role OverviewAs a Field Service Engineer specialized in Cooling, you operate independently on refrigeration and HVAC cooling systems installed at strategic customer sites, with a strong focus on data centers and mission-critical environments. You are responsible for service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning, ensuring system reliability, energy efficiency, and full compliance with safety and environmental regulations.💼 Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC cooling systemsDiagnose and resolve complex technical faults on refrigeration installationsCommission, test, and optimize cooling systems (DX, chillers, heat pumps)Work with various refrigerants — natural and synthetic (CO₂, NH₃, HFO/HFC)Inspect, adjust, and service compressors, evaporators, condensers, expansion devices, and control systemsCarry out leak detection and maintain F-Gas-compliant documentationAdvise customers on system improvements, energy efficiency, and technical upgradesComplete service reports and maintenance records accurately and on timeCollaborate closely with planning teams and project engineersStrictly follow health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures🧠 Your ProfileMBO level 3/4 or equivalent in Refrigeration Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or HVAC / Building ServicesHands-on experience in refrigeration & HVAC cooling — DX systems, chillers, heat pumps, commercial/industrial refrigerationSolid understanding of thermodynamics, refrigeration cycles, and heat transferBasic knowledge of electrical engineering and control systemsAble to work independently, take ownership, and interpret technical drawingsFluent English (spoken & written) — Dutch is a plusComfortable with daily travel to customer sites (mostly data centers) within the Netherlands🚀 What’s in it for youJoin an international leader in cooling & refrigeration solutionsWork on mission-critical data center environmentsOpportunity to develop expertise on natural refrigerants (CO₂, NH₃) and next-gen sustainable coolingContinuous technical training & certification pathAutonomy, ownership, and direct customer relationships
